Written by Tom Harwood, President 14 | OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2025 | Village Squares Village Squares continues to enjoy dancing Wednesday evenings to the excellent calling by Mike Haworth. We have spirited dancing, snacks to share, and good camaraderie, in addition to enjoying exercise for the body and the brain. It's a great way to keep active. Our fourth Wednesday theme of Mardi Gras brought out lots of beads and colorful costumes. Again, top honors went to President Robert Gross and Kathleen Alexander (at right), very colorfully attired. It adds fun to our regular dances to try to gure out a costume for the fourth Wednesday, and it's great to have a few guests show up for these dances. Does the word Golden actually depict our reality. Let's see how many items below that you may relate to. What was I going to say? Why did I come in here? Did I already take my pill? How did I get this bruise? Why am I so sore? Where did I leave my phone? Sometimes I like to irt, just to see if I still got it. I don't! One minute you are young and fun, the next minute you are turning the car stereo down to see better. I'm in the prime of my life. I'm somewhere between the young and restless and the old and senseless. My right leg and le leg are now called my good leg or my bad leg. When I take an ibuprofen, it has a hard time guring out which part of my body to work on rst. I almost dropped my phone on my so carpeted oor but thank goodness I have lighting fast reexes and was able to slap it into the wall instead. Somewhere in the middle of our happy moments, we all sigh a little, in the memory of someone we dearly miss. Yet, how great is it to live under a sky that is repainted every day by e Greatest Artist. ought for the day: Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.
