At the Woodchucks' Shop, however, we are already counting down to our busy Christmas toy season. Our master toy builders and assistants are realizing the year is almost half over, and they have already completed many toys. More toys are in the works, and progress is being made daily. However, not all Woodchucks are toy builders. Our well- equipped shop is available to all OHCC residents to work on their own artistic ventures as well as home improvements and honey-do projects. All you have to do is become a member, watch a safety video, and complete a shop orientation. Ask any club ocer to help you with this. Woodchucks are proud of our community involvements. Projects include making free security window rods, building special items for clubs and sta, hosting the Flea Market, as well as the Camp Pendleton Christmas Toy Drive. We really do give our time and eorts to "serve those who so bravely serve us." Speaking of time and eort, we can always use volunteers, especially as we count down to the Toy Drive. Toys are usually completed by anksgiving and delivered to Camp Pendleton soon aer. If you would like to get involved, (experience is not necessary and many tasks just require commitment and patience) please contact Larry See (thecabesa@gmail.com). Written by Larry See
