MONROE: Common Sense Leadership My name is Ron Monroe and I am running for a seat on the Solera Board of Directors. My wife and I have lived in Solera for five years. I currently serve as the RV Group leader, acting CERT team leader and member of the Support Our Troops club. I am a United States Air Force veteran, serving four years as a Fire Protection Specialist (firefighter). I was a firefighter for thirty-six years, thirty years as a dual role firefighter/police officer at Ontario International Airport. I served as an elected union representative and was appointed to the Rialto Mobile Home Rent Review Commission for a four-year term . I was a member of a FEMA disaster medical team for seven years. I am a member of the San Gorgonio Pass Emergency Committee. I'll bring a common-sense approach to problem solving to the Board with no hidden agenda. Your interests will always come first. I'll be a fiscal hawk and will work diligently to ensure your hard-earned money is wisely spent. I am against any unnecessary rule changes that take away long standing Solera traditions and practices. Please give me an opportunity to earn your trust and respect. I am running for re-election to continue my mission of making and keeping Solera a GREAT place to live. My wife and I have resided here for the past 12 years and we love Solera! Most of my career positions were based on troubleshooting problems in two distinct industries. Serving our community can be a challenge but every challenge has a solution. With regards to our aging infrastructure, I am committed to address problems as they present themselves to ensure Solera remains a well-maintained and vibrant community. That includes making sure we perform our fiduciary duties to keep Solera financially healthy. I am involved in various groups and committees. Here are those listed below.
