QUILTERS
For several years now, the Solera Quilters have been chaired by Linda
DiGiovanni (at left). Now Linda has decided to make the move to Idaho
to be near her daughter and grandchildren. While we are so very excited
for her, we are also sad that she's leaving us. Linda has been such a great
leader and good friend to us all. She started every meeting with a joke
and could hardly get through them without breaking into laughter herself
(along with a few snorts!) She kept us going with the annual challenges,
the quilting "blitz" Saturdays, and her fabulous Christmas parties. What
a dynamo.
She and Greg moved here in 2006 and created a lovely home we all loved
to visit. They were married 33 years at the time of his passing. Missing her
family, she decided to move near them after a recent visit. Hopefully this
California girl will adapt quickly to the weather in Idaho. It's beautiful
there, and many exciting adventures await her. The Quilters all pitched in
to make her a memory quilt which will be featured in next month's article.
Have fun, Linda. We'll miss you, but we'll always be in touch. And thank
you! With much love, e Solera Quilters
