42 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2025 A New Club / A New Show Calling all aspiring performers, theater enthusiasts, and variety arts aficionados! Ignite your passion with our upcoming theater workshop and showcase. Please join us as we form a brand new club here at Four Seasons and participate in our Halloween Spooktacular. Our plan is to have monthly workshops leading to periodic showcases where we will perform for our friends and neighbors here at Four Seasons. Monthly workshops will consist of fun activities to develop and improve your performance skills to prepare you for our showcases. This may even lead you to taking a stab at professional acting. The workshops will be taught by our club leaders and industry professionals. These workshops will include improv, memorization techniques, scene study, entrances, auditions, cold readings, and commercials, just to name a few. Our showcases will include holiday shows, plays, scene showcases, improv, singing, dancing, magic, and more. Our first showcase is the upcoming Halloween Spooktacular that will feature our actors in a hair-raising and hilarious adventure, along with our singers, dancers, and musicians. We welcome EVERYONE to participate. Whether on-stage or behind the scenes, ALL ARE WELCOME. Club Leaders Paula Drake: Paula has been a professional actor since 1993. She is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild and has appeared in 12 films, five television shows, 11 stage shows, and various music videos, web series, voice overs, radio shows, and documentaries. She has extensive training in acting, including the Groundlings School for the Professional Actor and the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory. She moved to Four Seasons in 2015, and while still acting and practicing law, she wrote, produced, and performed in numerous shows here for our neighbors. John Horning: John is a performing member of the world famous Magic Castle. He is a past president of the Riverside section of the International Brotherhood of Magicians where he earned Magician of the Year honors for three consecutive years. Along with Paula, he has produced more than a dozen shows here at Four Seasons. Perhaps you remember the Twisted Cabaret shows or e Night ey Raided Smitsky's. Our first meeting will be held on Monday, May 19 at 6 pm in RCN Room #3.
