| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2025 | 15 On Fri., May 2 a Triple Crown Event will be crossing the Finish Line at TGIF! Whether your passion is Horse Racing at the Kentucky Derby, racing toward that checkered flag at the Indy 500 or celebrating our awesome Moms everywhere, don't miss this evening of fun-filled gaiety. In addition to a raffle prize for the Best Decorated Table, we will be awarding a second prize for Best Hat/Fascinator, (yes, guys, you can get in on this too!) We may not be serving Mint Juleps, but I am sure there will be no shortage of celebratory libations. April was even busier than March and as the photos above demonstrate, Easter was a theme to remember! Pam McIntyre and entourage pulled out ALL the stops decorating their table for 20 in Grand Style. Complete with games, favors, gigantic cakes and bubbles, (yes, bubbles) they were the first up to hop around the room for the Easter egg Hunt. Jim Robo never disappoints, getting in the groove with old fashioned Rock 'n Roll favorites, and with Russ Brown controlling multiple karaoke mics, this group of high spirited ladies entertained us all with Easter Parade. (I can still hear the melody…' On the avenue, Fifth Avenue…' In your easter bonnet with all the frills upon it'…) Of course, Karaoke continues to be the main attraction and circulating a song sheet of popular songs to choose from lent courage to some newcomers. May is also the month we celebrate Cinco de Mayo giving us four themes to choose from for songs, as well as decorating ideas. A colorful sombrero could be your winning look for the prize for Best Hat! The starting gate opens at 5 pm, the checkered flag drops, and we're off to another great evening of fun-filled revelry, breaking bread with great friends, and sharing music of our own making. The buffet/ dessert tables get better every month with many unique home-made goodies, but you are welcome to bring your own dinner if you don't wish to participate in the shared menu items. Either way, do plan to BYOB, plates, napkins and utensils. If you are new to our community, (or been here a long time and wonder what is TGIF?) c'mon down. You will not be disappointed!
