30 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2025 | We are a friendly group! If you are interested in learning about tennis and getting started playing, or it's been awhile since you last played, please join us. Folks are on the courts most mornings, 9 am in colder weather and 8 am when it's going to get warm! Tennis Club This bocce season is almost over but we cannot end the season without having our annual Bocce BBQ. This fun gathering of all the players at one time gives everyone a chance to see other teams on the different league times. Usually, the first league leaves the courts before the next league starts. But, on April 27, Bocce players enjoyed a pulled pork menu with side dishes to compliment the main course. They were entertained by Russ Browns Music Magic to bring the Bocce Players in a party mood. It is always fun to gather out at our great BBQ area and chill with something cool and other players. Soon, this season will be over but not without a Championship Game scheduled for May 18 for those teams that make the winners list. Good luck to all the Bocce Teams ~Ross Brunetto, Bocce Chairperson, (951) 926-8295 Bocce Walking Can Keep Your Brain in Shape - From a My Fitness Pal article: "Exercise can help increase brain volume and blood flow, which appear to have an impact on the executive functions of the brain, including attention span, focus and memory. More active or physically fit individuals perform better on tasks involving executive functioning compared to sedentary ones." Walk Fit Class is a good way to start. The class consists of nine different Leslie Sansone Walk Fit DVDs. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varying tempos. The complete class is four miles, but you can come late or leave early to shorten your routine and work at your own level. A few of the DVDs incorporate resistance bands (always optional). Some class members add light hand weights for added strength training. Stop by and give us a try. NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME, MEN & WOMEN! Class Schedule: Mon., Wed., Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am in The Lodge Ballroom. CLASS IS FREE! For more information, contact Karen Tuvim at (316) 260-0847. Walk Fit Do you have an interest in learning to play pickleball? The Pickleball Club would like you to learn foundational skills and join the fun. Pickleball Billiards Club If you like the game of pool and would like to meet and play like-minded players, please join us in the Billiards Room on Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 noon. The club participates with the Hemet Valley Pool Club; we host and travel to other 55+ communities and have tournaments with other teams. The game of choice is 1-15, it is a form of 8 Ball and it is a lot of fun. We are also interested in enlisting a few more players for our club. If this interests you, please come on out and join us for a morning of billiards. ~ Art Martel, Team Captain, (909) 973-8208
