As spring blooms all around us so does the creative spirit of these
happy quilters. Flowers are blooming and bright colors are a feast
for the eyes when shopping for fabric. As these photos illustrate,
Cleta Colston's bright color palette can't help but put "the happy"
into spring, while Pat Spurgeon's soft pastels and whimsical blocks
encourage daydreaming under a canopy of blue skies.
Our joint quilt jacket project continues to challenge, inspire and
motivate us. As we continue to learn from each other, our shared
passion for this age-old craft binds us together in friendship
and admiration with one another. Some of us took a break from
traditional quilting to make stuffed bunnies for Easter. In the
Aloha Spirit this festive bunny was crafted by Sharon Deuber.
We often discuss how blessed we are to live within a community
where shared hobbies bring so many together. Like the blankets of
wildf lowers blooming on the hillsides, life is everything but a blank
canvass. If you can't find something to do within this community
of very active 55+ year olds you aren't looking hard enough!
Seasons Quilters meets every Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm in the
Arts & Crafts Room breaking for lunch at the Bistro at 12:30 pm.
For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects and
forming forever friendships, stop by the Arts & Crafts Room and
see what's sewing! We would love to meet you. All Four Seasons
