The Easter bunny even left everyone an Easter egg with a surprise inside and an extra surprise for some birthday people. We have some exciting day trips coming up: • Queen Mary Tour/Lunch 5/12: A personal behind-the-scenes tour, lunch at Queen Mary's Promenade Café and more • Half-day Wine Tasting 5/20: Enjoy sampling wine at three wineries and nibbles of cheese/charcuterie will be served at one winery • Morongo Casino 5/29: Enjoy a fun day of gambling and food; new players will receive $10 free play • Reagan Library/Dead Sea Scrolls 6/18: Do a self-guided audio tour of the Library, tour Air Force One, see the Dead Sea Scrolls and more • Viejas Casino/Outlet Center 6/24: Join us at this popular casino with outlet stores and restaurants on site • "The Night the Music Died" lunch & show 7/17: Enjoy the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and Big Bopper • Casino Hop (Pala/Pauma) 7/28: Take in two casinos in one day • Upcoming Trips: Luau, Harrah's Casino, San Diego Harbor Cruise/Seaport Village, Del Mar Horse Racing, and more Multi-day trips: • Canadian Rockies Adventure 8/17-23 (7 days/6 nights) where you will explore Hells Gate AirTran, Blue River Safari, Columbia Icefields, and more • Tuscan Culinary-Italy 9/23-10/01 (9 days/8 nights) where you will learn to make pasta, taste wine and gelato, visit galleries, and more • New Mexico Balloon Fiesta 10/3-10/8 (6 days/5 nights) where you will watch the Dawn Patrol Mass Ascension and Evening Balloon Glow as well as visit Taos, Santa Fe, and more • England, Scotland & Wales 11/5-11/14 (9 days/8 nights) where you will visit Edinburgh Castel, Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace, and more • New Year's Eve & Rose Bowl Parade 12/30-1/1/26 (3 days/2 nights) where you will see floats being built as well as visit the Huntington Library/Art Collection/Botanical Gardens, Santa Anita Racetrack; trip includes New Year's Eve Party, reserve seating at the Rose Parade, and more Our next meeting is on Wed., May 7 in the North Town Hall. Doors open at 12:15 pm, and the meeting starts at 12:45 pm. At this meeting, any current 2025 Travel Club members may pick up their FREE tickets for our Summer Party, which is on July 2. Guests may purchase tickets for this event at our club meeting on June 4 for $20 per person. Everyone MUST have a ticket to attend. The Sun City Travel Club meets the first Wednesday of every month in North Town Hall. Doors open at 12:15 pm, and meetings start at 12:45 pm. Dues are $20 a year which includes at least two parties. Anyone living in the SCCA core with a current SCCA membership card can join. Guests are always welcome to all our meetings and events. Light refreshments are available and everyone gets a free ticket for a drawing. All trip sign-ups are done after the meeting is over. We hope to see you there! e Bike Club just celebrated 60 years of being in Sun City! e club was established on March 17, 1965. We are getting ready for our spring and summer events. We look forward in meeting new riders who enjoy biking. On Sat., May 10 from 9 to 11 am, we will be holding our second annual Tour de Sun City. It will be a 10-mile ride around our neighborhood. You will have the option of five miles or 10 miles. ere will be a water break at five miles where we will have water and snacks. We will have an EasyUp tent in the SCCA parking lot and on the West corner of the Lawn Bowling Green. On Sat., June 7 from 9 to 11 am, we will offer "Try an e-bike for Free." If you have ever had thoughts of trying an e-bike, this is your opportunity to do so. You will be given instructions on how the bike functions and how to ride. If you have a helmet, please bring it. We will have helmets for those who do not own one. We will have an EasyUp in the SCCA parking lot and on the West corner of the Lawn Bowling Green. e Bike Club meets Tuesdays from 8 to 10 am at Building I, Room #2 (the Museum Room).
