| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2025 | 29 REMINDER: Our May event is scheduled for May 3 and will feature Generations. Our April event featured Cowboy Mike and Nancy. Their country vibes are a big hit with the club. Some of the songs they sang were: I Feel Lucky, Okie From Muskogee, Grandpa (Tell me About the Good Old Days), Your Man, and under Only Happens When It's Raining. They continued to sing as people went through the buffet line and did break to eat with a table of attendees. Thank you so much Mike and Nancy! The 80s group thoroughly appreciates you! The 80s Club is for our Sun Lakes residents near or over 80 years of age along with their guests, no matter their ages. Our events are always on the first Saturday of the month and begin at 3 pm, and include a brief meeting with announcements, then entertainment with the meals beginning between 3:30 and 3:45 pm. Each month is very close to the capacity at the South Clubhouse and sometimes even sells out so get your money and reservations in early. Come join us once for the meal price of $20 to see if you might enjoy our group and only if you do, do you need to join for the second time you attend. Our dues are $10 a year per person. Get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera for our June 7 event before June 1. For this event our entertainers are Sheila and Larry James, our very own Jamestown. There is a box on her front porch labeled 80s Club for your checks and will be removed when we have sold out OR at the deadline. So do not leave a check if there is no box out. No reservations will be accepted after the deadline. If you are mailing in your check, we must have it in by the deadline date and make sure your phone number is on the check. Also, please give us the name of any guests you are paying for and bringing. We're always at the South Clubhouse; people begin arriving at 2:30 pm to get checked in and get their seats, and the program starts at 3 pm. Meals are $20 per person.
