One of the biggest mama songs ever was Al Jolson's Mammy written in 1918 by Irving Berlin and was rst performed by actor William Frawley who would become Fred Mertz on the TV show I Love Lucy. e song Mammy has since been inducted into e National Museum Of American History. Chorale Our big Spring Concert Series is coming this month! Don't miss it: Fri., May 2 and Sat., May 3 at 7 pm; Sun., May 4 at 3 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children under 12. This show will be interactive with the audience challenged to guess the movie from which each song originated. The Chorale of Sun Lakes is open to membership for any Sun Lakes resident. The Chorale has five sections: sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, and baritones. After our spring concerts, we relax until September, but we welcome new members at any time.
