BE A CHARITY WEEK WINNER I would like to recognize Raymond Vanyo, a remarkable Sun Lakes golf member who has achieved the extraordinary feat of shooting his age or better over 2,000 times. Now 87 years old, he continues to enjoy the game he loves. If you see him on the course, please take a moment to congratulate him — this accomplishment is truly exceptional. Ray began beating his age at 65, 22 years ago. It took him 13 years to reach 1,000 rounds, and just 8 more years to reach the second 1,000. What an amazing feat! Keep it going Ray! A Time for Preparation Spring is an excellent time for golfers to shake off the rust accumulated over the winter and prepare for the months ahead. Whether you've spent the off-season hitting balls on the driving range or simply taking time away from the game, the early days of spring are about regaining form and fine-tuning your skills. Many golfers use spring to work on their fitness, focusing on strength and flexibility to improve their game for the upcoming season. Taking time to fine-tune technique — whether it's your swing, short game, or putting — is key to ensuring you're in top shape for the upcoming months. Join a clinic or Get Golf Ready to get you back in shape to shoot your best. Sign-up in the pro shop or ask one of the pros when the next practice session is. ~ David A.
