Songs about mom or mama have always been a great subject for
song writers. One of the biggest mama songs ever was Al Jolson's
Mammy written in 1918 by Irving Berlin and was rst performed
by actor William Frawley who would become Fred Mertz on the
TV show I Love Lucy. e song Mammy has since been inducted
into e National Museum Of American History.
Mother's Day this year falls on Sun., May 11. In honor of
