26 | LIFE IN SOLERA | MAY 2025 | I would like to take a moment to give a special thank you to Dave James for all the work and time he put into being President along with Mary Lou V.P., Gary Stoh Treasurer, and Diane Coffman Secretary of Solera Sipper Club for our 2024-2025 year. Also, a big thank you to all the club members who spent time with the Steering Committee for last number of years. Our club would not be able to function without their time and energy putting program parties together each month for our club. In April we tried something new called "out of the box wine." We had three different red wines and two different white wines. We also had a little different type of music — some easy and soft jazz music. A lot of the songs were familiar but with a little different sound. We had about 80 people for this fun evening. Good job to Gary Stoh and his team for this program. Some of the programs we are working on for the rest of 2025 include a new Third Time is the Charm (name that tune/artist) this month and our annual Bocce Ball in June. Also in the works a Speakeasy-style evening, wine tasting with a different sponsor, a Chinese food evening and others. Our club is always looking for people interested in being part of our Steering Committee. Each month we have a separate subcommittee that organizes the activities for each month. No one has to do a program by themselves. If I have piqued your interest, talk to anyone on the Steering Committee or our Executive Steering Committee.
