Born in Budapest, Hungary, Susan lived a life marked by resilience, grace, and joy. In 1956, at the age of 25, Susan, her husband George, and their six year-old son George Jr. courageously fled Hungary during the revolution, seeking freedom and opportunity in the United States. They began their new life in Cleveland, Ohio, where they immediately embraced their new country with hope and gratitude. A year later, they moved to Woodland Hills, California, where they built a happy home and continued to thrive. In 2003, Susan and George retired and relocated to Sun Lakes where they fully embraced the vibrant community and its many activities. George was a professional musician and a gifted clarinet player who performed in many of the various social clubs and groups presented Sun Lakes. Susan enjoyed bocce ball, golfing, bridge, and was an active member of the Friendship Club. Susan and George shared a passion for travel and explored the world together on 23 cruises, creating a lifetime of beautiful memories. After George's passing in 2019, Susan found strength in her close friendships and the support of her wonderful neighbors. She remained active and social-playing bridge multiple times a week, dining out often, and always welcoming new adventures with her signature zest for life. Susan's warmth, kindness, and joy touched everyone she met, her energy and love of life were truly inspiring. Forever loved. Forever missed. Henry E. Reyes, May 18, 1941- November 19, 2024, beloved husband, father, and grandfather peacefully passed away with Mary, his wife of 64 years, at his side. Henry was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas. Henry and Mary enjoyed living in Sun Lakes since 2017. Anyone who met Henry became fast friends with him. His big smile and fun humor will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Life Mass was held at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, Texas. Dorothy Monterville, age 90, a long-time Sun Lakes resident, passed away on April 12 in Georgetown, Texas. She was born in Syracuse, New York on May 5, 1934, to William and Edna Bessey. She married John F. Monterville, who preceded her in death September 5, 2018. She is survived by her sister, Laura Bessey Isgar; daughters, Joan and Nancy and son-in-law, Michael); grandchildren Tammy, Romni, Casey, Nolan, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren Aubri, Shay, Mea, Jadyn, Tyler, Jacob, and Austin; and great-great-grandchildren Jean, Memphis, and Theo. She lived a blessed life full of love, laughter, singing, and dancing.
