| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2025 | 29 REMINDER: Our June event is scheduled for June 7 and will feature the wonderful Sun Lakes husband/ wife duo, Jamestown! Our May event featured Lori Bell who so graciously stepped in very last minute for Generations who had to cancel due to a family emergency. She has been at our club before with Lisa Rose and performed on her own this time as Lisa is away touring. As fabulous as Lori and Lisa are together, Lori is every bit as good separately. The attendees raved about her and several said we could have her back every month because she's so good. Some of her songs included It's a Beautiful Day, Cry to Me, It's Too Late Baby, Heatwave, I'm so In Love With You, I Heard It rough e Grapevine, Flowers and she ended with God Bless America to everybody standing and many moved to tears. Thank you so much, Lori, don't know what we would have done without you! The 80s Club is for our Sun Lakes residents near or over 80 years of age along with their guests, no matter their ages. Our events are always on the first Saturday of the month and begin at 3 pm, and include a brief meeting with announcements, then entertainment with the meals beginning between 3:30 and 3:45 pm. Each month is very close to the capacity at the South Clubhouse so get your money and reservations in early. Come join us once for the meal price of $20 to see if you might enjoy our group; if you do, you need to join for the second time you attend. Our dues are $10 a year per person. Get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera for our July 5 event before June 29. For this event, our entertainers are Fusion because they have such an incredible selection of patriotic songs for our Fourth of July theme. There is a box on Donna's front porch labeled 80s Club for your checks and will be removed when we have sold out OR at the deadline. Do not leave a check if there is no box out. No reservations will be accepted after the deadline. If you are mailing your check, we must have it in by the deadline date and make sure your phone number is on the check. Also, please give us the name of any guests you are paying for and bringing. We're always at the South Clubhouse; people begin arriving at 2:30 to get checked in and get their seats, and the program starts at 3 pm. Meals are $20 per person.
