| OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2025 | 37 On April 10, we held a "Cut roat" tournament. Cut roat is the best casual pool game for three players. It will mess with your mind because it's the opposite of 8-Ball; you sink your opponents' balls, but it is a foul to sink your own ball. It's not a call-shot game, so there is a lot of luck involved. When you play, you'll soon see why the game is informally known as "Screw Your Buddy." You are always choosing which of your opponents to attack. It generates more table talk than any other game, as Opponent A tries to get you to shoot at Opponent B. A lot of fun. Simple Rules. e lowest group of ve balls (1 through 5) belongs to the rst player to shoot, the middle group of ve balls (6 through 10) belongs to player #2, and the highest group of ve balls (11 through 15) belongs to player #3. You win when you sink all of your opponent's balls. However, once all your balls have been sunk, you are not out of the game! Why not? Because when a player fouls, each opponent gets to return a ball back into play. In this game, you can return from the dead. Aer much wailing and gnashing of teeth, three sharks advanced to the nal game: Leo Beeloo, Janice Pelcher, and Gary Pelcher. e husband and wife teamed up to force Leo out. Poor guy never had a chance. Ever the gentleman, Gary proceeded to beat his wife and grab the $50 rst-place money. Janice got $25 for second place, and Leo got $10 for third. Ah, but what did they have to pay to join the event? Zippity-do-dah! Our tournaments have no entry fees. In addition to the cash, the winners have their photos featured right here, suitable for copying and sending to everyone they know. But best of all, our rst-place winner becomes IMMORTAL, with his name engraved in brass on the Billiards Club Wall of Champions!
