April was very busy for the Seasoned Singles. We celebrated the April birthdays at Legends 8, a great Chinese restaurant in Calimesa. Also in April, some of the group spent a beautiful Saturday touring the San Bernardino History & Railroad Museum. We then visited the McDonald's Museum, which is located on the site of the original McDonald's restaurant on "E" Street in San Bernardino. After that, we decided to keep our "history theme" going by grabbing lunch at the historic Mitla's Cafe in Colton. Mitla's opened in 1937 and is a fixture in the Inland Empire. In early May the Singles attended Lifehouse Theater's production of Esther. Other May events included a concert by the Pass Chorale, a Memorial Day potluck, an assortment of lunch and dinner outings as well as a tour of Garner Holt Productions, the world's leading creator of Audio- Animatronics in the world. If you're single and would like to join us for outings like these, we meet on the first Friday of the month in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room at 6 pm. ~ Phyllis Kates Le: e Singles toured the San Bernardino History and Railroad Museum in San Bernardino.
