There's been a lot of new residents joining Solera — 51 as of June 4! Last year, there were just 57 for the entire year. We hope all of our new residents are settling in well, and are able to take advantage of all the great amenities Solera has to offer. If you're new here (and even if you're not), check out the article about what our security company does for our community. You may be surprised at all of the activities they perform to help make Solera a great place to live. Attention Club and Group leaders: Details about our Aug. 23 New Resident Gathering were emailed to those of you with email addresses. If you didn't receive the notice, please contact me. Otherwise, I'll be in touch by phone in the coming weeks. A highlight of the event is introducing our groups and clubs to our new residents. Every group leader will have the opportunity to speak to the whole audience for a minute or two about your activities, and hopefully, you'll get some new members! Lastly, I'm grateful every day for the wonderful members of the Welcome Committee, and I want to give a well-deserved shout out for their time, dedication, and enthusiasm in welcoming our new residents. Feel free to contact me with any questions. ~ Brenda Dewey, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee (951) 499-7790, mnbdewey@yahoo.com You're probably familiar with Solera's security company, Citiguard, and the very important job they do in controlling access at the main gate of thousands of guests and vendors every month. They follow robust protocols to try to ensure only authorized persons gain access to the neighborhood. But, what else do they do? Well, they do a lot to help our community every day including conducting continuous roving vehicle patrols — day and night. They are looking for any activity or condition that may jeopardize or place any resident, guest, visitor, or community asset at risk. Examples include: • Reporting any violations of community rules (parking, pets, traffic safety, accidents, etc.) • Monitoring other access gates, reporting any needed gate repairs, ensuring the gates are secured, and reattaching (if possible) gate arms that become detached. • Ensuring pedestrian gates are closed. • Foot patrolling the Clubhouse during closed hours, and foot patrolling all pocket parks. • Locking up or ensuring the Clubhouse and Mail Room is secured at closing, and reopened at scheduled times. • Checking for f lashing lights outside residences' garage doors (this is an emergency alert installed at most residences). • After 10 pm, checking for open garage doors at residences. • Reporting inoperable street lights, and common area issues with sprinklers, lighting, trees, community signs, monuments, debris in the road, etc. • Removing unauthorized signs. Although we're all ultimately responsible for our own safety and security, Citiguard helps to make our community a safe and peaceful place to live. Citiguard is available 24/7/365, and can be contacted at 951-666-9577. ~ Brenda Dewey, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee | LIFE IN SOLERA | JULY 2025 | 5 Welcome Committee Front center: Ronnie Zacker.
