Your OH Travel Club Board, Adele, Lynn, Amy, Jeannine and Callie Written by Amy Blount and approved by the Travel Club Board. Travel Club Yiddish Club Did we have fun at the Yiddish Club June meeting? Of course we did! The hardworking Yiddish Club Board of Directors felt we would like to reward our devoted membership with a free, fun afternoon. With much help from new Board member Anita Simons, we found a funny film for everyone to enjoy. It was called Humor Me and the cast included Elliot Gould, Bebe Neuwirth, and Annie Potts. It was funny and heartwarming, and it taught some life lessons. Along with the film, we had popcorn (just like in the theater), ice cream, and drinks. Of course, the Board will be planning another event for July. But get ready — on Aug. 25, we will be having "Yiddish Bingo," with prizes galore. What is Yiddish Bingo? Just what it sounds like. It's fun. More information will be forthcoming. We would also like you folks, our members, to be aware that we will need help in the near future. Our past president, Elaine Massei, served two terms, and our present president, Carole Silverman, will be completing her second term. They have given so much of themselves to the club. But now it is time for someone else to step up and fill the role. Whomever that might be, Carole and Elaine will be there to help every step of the way. The Yiddish Club has a wonderful Board of Directors who are always there to assist our president. And by the way, if anyone has ideas for the Yiddish Club entertainment, let us know. We always welcome suggestions. And Ocean Hills residents, we always welcome you! Written by Selma Leighton
