| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2025 | 7 Community Awareness Program By Michele Walter If you did not have the opportunity to be present for our presentation in June, you will definitely want to watch it on Channel 97. The presentation was by law enforcement agencies. We had Chief Assistant District Attorney John Aki, as well as five representatives from the Riverside County Sheriff 's office, Rick Torres, Ron Asendorf, Mark Diaz, Michael Hinkle, and Sgt. Juan Cedeno; we also had Jonathan Torres representing the CHP. This presentation will give you an idea of what each of our law enforcement agencies is responsible for. You can also go to our website and find out more on this program. Please see below the letter from the City of Banning Electric Utility department regarding the Synergy Program. Our next program will be July 1 at 1 pm in the Ballroom regarding Probate, Wills and Trusts, and Estate Planning. Questions or concerns? Call Michele Walter at (951) 202-8009 or email crystalwater@dc.rr.com. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. June 3, 2025 Dear Sun Lakes Community Awareness meeting participants, Thank you for attending our Synergy/Banning Electric Utility presentation on May 6. We were so thrilled to tell you about the S.E.A.M. Program and the free energy-efficiency measures that are available to City of Banning Electric Utility customers. The S.E.A.M. Program has been in place for several years, but participation numbers have skyrocketed since our Sun Lakes presentation last month. Synergy currently has more appointments scheduled for energy audits and direct install measures than ever before. I have been told there is even a wait-list to return voicemails due to the extreme volume of calls coming in each day. To ensure we have funding for current residential and commercial projects that are already scheduled in Sun Lakes and throughout the City of Banning, we may need to slow down or pause any new projects from time to time. We are thrilled by the large number of Sun Lakes residents interested in the S.E.A.M. Program and look forward to working with everyone. There has been such overwhelming success that we now have a large wait-list established. Please just have patience with us and we will get to everyone who wants to participate in the S.E.A.M. Program. If you have any questions, please call us at (951) 922-3260, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 7 am to 4 pm. Sincerely, Amber Rockwell City of Banning – Electric Utility 176 E.
