| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2025 | 59 Our first rally was held in May at Sun Outdoors Paso Robles RV Resort. The rally was a lot of fun with games almost every night which included fish races, music, and lots of board games. Tours were also taken to places like Hearst Castle, Paso Robles Auto & Military Plane Museum, downtown Paso Robles, Moonstone Beach, Cambria, Firestone 805 Beer Distillery, and various wineries in the area. Our Trail Bosses Lupe and Dan Cardella, along with her committee of Tammy and Jim Mahoney, and Suzie and Steve Martin, went above and beyond to make this rally fantastic! They provided a continental breakfast on three days and a full breakfast on one day. Lupe's special Taco Tuesday dinner was a hit with everyone. The rally banquet was a blast! Our previous Sheriff showed up in attempt to take control of the banquet, but was immediately dispatched by the new Sheriff in town, Tammy MaHoney, with her handy pink cap pistol. This was the start of an awesome banquet. Our summer potluck will be July 29 from 5 to 9 pm at the South Clubhouse. This will be bring your own potluck and BYOB. There will be some games, music and dancing. More info to follow as we get closer to the date. Our fall rally, Sept. 28 to Oct. 3, is to Jackson Rancheria. The Trail Bosses are Harriet and Leon Fikse, with the committee consisting of Rock and Verna Raun, Carmen and Dan Snook, and Bonnie Aulwes and Gary Balcom. Their first meeting was May ; information will be forthcoming. Here's a sneak peek at Events for 2026: Home rally - Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 Yuma - dates TBD but looking at March 15-22. Hemet rally - April 19-24 RV Club potluck at the South Clubhouse - July 28 Fall rally - Sept. 27 to Oct. 2. This is f lexible and site still to be determined. Business meeting/pizza party - Oct. 11 Christmas Party - Dec. 7 At our October meeting, we will be holding elections for President, Vice President, and Secretary.
