| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2025 | 9 Its official - summer has arrived! Time to enjoy the long days and balmy nights by participating in the great events being organized by the Social Committee. There are lots of upcoming activities that should prove to be fun, entertaining and engaging that you and yours will not want to miss. Hooray for the red, white and blue! Four Seasons will observe the many liberties we, as a nation, enjoy at its annual Independence Day celebration on July 4th. Tickets are on sale now at The Lodge at a cost of $25 per person. Come out for an all American evening of patriotic music, a traditional bbq (bring your own beverage), along with a concert and dancing. Doors open at 4:30 pm with food service (hamburgers and potato salad) commencing at 5 pm. The Flag Ceremony and National Anthem (sung by Sandra Lubbers) is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. Big Revenge takes the stage from 7 to 9 pm and Russ Brown, who will serve as the event's DJ, will provide music throughout the evening and will narrate the Flag Ceremony of the military branches and Old Glory. So put on your best patriotic attire and dancing shoes and be part of commemorating the values and ideals of the "great experiment known as democracy" upon which our country is founded. Last day to purchase tickets is June 28 so get yours today! This event is for those aged 21 and better. It may not seem like it but fall is right around the corner. Save room on your calendar for Sept. 27 for our Oktoberfest celebration. Traditional music, eats, and revelry are on the agenda! Stay tuned in an upcoming article for the details for this not to be missed event. This event is for those aged 21 and better. On a surprisingly hot day in May, 22 hunters met in the small Lodge parking lot. That's right, it was our Free Community Scavenger Hunt with eight teams participating. Everyone had a great time with the clues, which included items to find, and the community map that Lisa Dernbach supplied the teams with. The winning team was Rick Haag and Ellyn Wolfe. (Shown with the three items they found: a necklace, Easter egg and a bottle of bubbles.) They received a gift certificate to our Bistro. The 2nd place team consisted of Bob and Linda Frahm/Mike and Patty Gaudreau and they received homemade cookies! Hope more of you can join us for this fun event next time. By all accounts, the June 1st Kinsg of Queen concert knocked it out of the park. What a fun evening! The recent tribute bands have been fantastic so if you didn't have the opportunity to enjoy this event, don't miss the next one. Details will be announced in the near future. Thanks to Judi Lewis (who single handedly made all the centerpieces), Linda Elliott, and Karen Hirschman and all their stellar volunteers for organizing and producing such a fun and rollicking evening.
