Woodshop Member Spotlight on Cory Walters
At the Woodshop, we are continually inspired by the creativity and
craftsmanship of our members. This month, we are proud to shine
the spotlight on Cory Walters, a dedicated Woodshop member and
Thursday morning monitor.
Cory recently completed a stunning custom table (above left),
showcasing his talent and thoughtful design. Crafted from a
harmonious blend of cherry, maple, poplar, and walnut, the 4'x4'
table is a true labor of love, created especially for his daughter and
her family.
From selecting the variety of wood species to carefully planning
each measurement, Cory poured hours into the design and
construction of this unique piece. The result is a beautifully balanced
table finished with care and built to last for generations — a new
family heirloom.
In the photo (above right), Cory is joined by his 2½-year-old
grandson, Cameron, who is clearly proud of Grandpa's handiwork.
Also pictured is the family dog, Poppy, already claiming her favorite
spot beneath the table, no doubt dreaming of dinner-time crumbs.

craftsmanship and dedication are truly inspiring!
