Bocce If you're interested in joining us, bocce is similar to lawn bowling and only takes minutes to learn. Community Craft Faire Club e purpose of the club is to organize and facilitate our Community Cra Faires to provide an opportunity for residents to exhibit and sell their cra products. e 2025 Art & Cra Faire will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 8 am to 2 pm. Pickleball Club Pickleball is a fun sport and is great exercise. Pickleball is growing worldwide. e court is much smaller than tennis. Four players on a court use a paddle. A wiffleball goes back and forth over the net. We have two courts and play seven days a week. Well, here is a friendly and cray club to consider, the Quilting Club! You don't need to have great sewing skills or any at all for that matter. We are more than just quilters; we do many cra projects together. Every Friday from 9 am to 4 pm in the Silverwood Room, we have free style sewing and craing. Bring your machine or hand sewing/craing project if you desire and have use of our cutting mats, irons, tables, and project boards. It's a fun time to collaborate, ask questions, get help, or just socialize. Some Fridays, we have classes taught by members of our club. Everything from quilting techniques to bowl making, apron or hat making, placemats and coasters, etc. e third Friday of every month, we host our "Friendship Meeting" in the Ballroom at 1 pm. is is where we share our latest creations and ideas for more fun and to learn about each other. As a club, we work on "Quilts of Valor" for our resident Veterans, as well as donation quilts for other needy organizations. Clubs New information in red Side Pocket Sisters Ladies Billiards Greetings Ladies of SDV: I would love to talk with you about the Ladies Billiards Club, Side Pocket Sisters. It is a group of great ladies with various levels of pool skills, and terrific levels of sisterhood. You don't have to have played pool before to learn how to play. We teach during the games, and it is an ongoing process. During the year, we host a Holiday Party, a Pool Party in the summer at the Reed's pool at their home, and four tournaments. If you are in e Lodge on Wednesday mornings, and hear a lot of laughing, occasional screams of delight or dismay, it is us, Side Pocket Sisters. Come join us. (We do charge exorbitant dues…$10/year). Players will meet and play with a variety of partners as our consummate goal is to have fun regardless of skill level, from beginners to seasoned players.
