| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2025 | 31
As you know, as is customary, the club will
not have a general meeting in August. If the
membership wants to change that for the
coming year, we can discuss it in September. It's
sometimes difficult to come up with ideas for
meetings and having a meeting every month will
add to that. We've had some suggestions about
workshops, and perhaps those would be a good
way to make use of July and August meeting
times.
In September, we'll be getting a briefing on
how to carry out the October photo shoot, which
will be at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
The idea is to shoot as if for a magazine. This will
offer the opportunity for us to use the Coaster
train as part of the outing. It should be fun to
take photos of something besides f lowers! And
there are some nice places to eat in Old Town.
No general meeting in October due to the photo
shoot, but we'll assemble in November to look at
our work via a slide show in the Lamia Room.
In December, we plan to have a holiday social
in Lamia. We'll ask to have tables set up café-
style. We'll figure out some pictures to stream
on the big TV. We have chickened out the last few
years on account of Covid outbreaks and being
too close to Christmas.
The Photo Club is open to all residents. The
annual dues are $10. We usually meet on the third
Thursday at 1 pm in the Lamia Room. Written
