It was the Marketing Advisory Committee's pleasure to recognize Chelsea Osbon, Main Clubhouse front desk receptionist as Employee of the Month for May. We acknowledged Chelsea at the May Master Board Open Session. Chelsea has proven herself to be outstanding in her role and has become an invaluable asset to the Recreation Department. In addition to her primary responsibilities, she consistently goes above and beyond, offering assistance to other departments with a positive attitude. There are regular compliments from residents about Chelsea's helpfulness, kindness and warm welcome. We are proud to give Chelsea employee of the month and a Visa gift card for her outstanding job performance. Again, don't forget you can nominate any employee at Sun Lakes for Employee of the Month. You can nominate monitors, maintenance staff, Pro Shop staff or Food and Beverage staff. Forms are available in the Main Clubhouse, the Lounge, Restaurant, Sandwedge, and Pro Shop for residents to nominate an employee for their outstanding job performance. The Marketing Committee assisted the Ad-Hoc Delegate Committee on a survey that will be coming in your Delegate newsletter. The Committee was headed by Chairwoman, Carlie Beakes. The Master Board asked the Delegates to be involved with this task. Our goal is to get the highest rate of responses. There will be a District competition. The Districts with the highest percentage of returned responses will receive: $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place. We ask that each household complete their survey card and return it to their District Delegate. We want your participation to help us know your needs for our community. ~ Michele Walter, Marketing Committee Chairperson, (951) 202-8009 10 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | AUGUST 2025 | Sun Lakes Committee Reports Marketing Advisory REAL ESTATE STATS JUNE 1 TO 24: Active or coming soon: 75 • 15 Condos: $299,000 to $372,000 • 60 Homes: $330,000 to $559,000 In Escrow: 20 • 1 Condos/$357,500 • 19 Homes: $324,900 to $559,900 Closed escrow: 8 • 7 Homes: $325,000 to $565,000 • 1 Condo: $330,000 Homeless activity continues to be an issue affecting Sun Lakes. Securitas has increased patrol visibility along Highland Springs Ave, particularly near Gate 6. Securitas wants these individuals to know they are being monitored to help prevent loitering and formation of encampments near Sun Lakes. Foot patrol coverage on the golf courses has been increased, specifically between 9 pm and 6 am. Security officers are conducting random checks and may use their vehicle light bars from a distance to maintain visibility. If you see this from your home and are unsure whether it is security related, please refrain from making direct contact. Instead, call the main gate for confirmation. There has been a rise in incidents involving minors operating golf carts and/or riding on the rear of carts where there is no seat. This is both illegal and unsafe. Golf carts must be operated by individuals with proper authorization and awareness of Sun Lakes' traffic and safety rules. Securitas continues to receive complaints regarding night time noise disturbances, including loud conversations, barking dogs, and moving related activity. The City of Banning enforces a noise ordinance after 10 pm. Please be respectful of your neighbors regarding noise levels. When walking, please use the pedestrian gates at the exits and entrances. A safety issue arises when residents use the vehicle entry or exit when walking. Also, please be sure to secure the pedestrian gates when you enter or exit. Please, do not leave them propped open. As always: • Keep your garage doors closed • Keep your dogs on a leash • Obey speed limits, and stop at all stop signs • Drive defensively, we are in a 55+ community! ~ Michael Volz, (818) 310-1950, vmv1950@ aol.com Safety Advisory
