| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | AUGUST 2025 | 7 The Sun Lakes Charitable Trust will present a Masquerade of Elegance Luncheon and Fashion Show on Sat., Sept. 27. It will be an exciting and fun day of shopping and fashion presented by Daisy Blue and Lush Lane Boutiques. The event will begin with champagne and shopping on the Veranda at 10 am for ticketed participants. Doors to the Ballroom will open at 11:30 am and the luncheon will begin at noon. Tickets for the event are $65 per person. You can drop your checks made payable to Sun Lakes Charity in the decorated box in the Main Clubhouse Lobby. This is a very popular event that sells out every year and a lottery will be on Aug. 25 from 9 to 11 am in the Bus Room. Seating will be at tables of eight and groups wishing to sit together must submit their checks together in an envelope. Include the name and phone number for each person in your party. One person from your group must be present at the Lottery. Raffle tickets for gift baskets will be sold at the event (cash only) and the Charity Bar will be available (no outside alcohol please). Shopping on the Veranda will be available to all Sun Lakes residents beginning at noon. Sun Lakes Country Club will be adding a beautiful Tower Clock to the Championship Golf Course. The project will be 100 percent funded by sales from a brick donation program that residents can purchase to honor a loved one or to simply celebrate living in this vibrant community. This impressive new addition will be placed between the two putting greens located at the Main Clubhouse. Iconic golf courses around the world are recognized by their Tower Clocks to symbolize their establishment in the golf community. The new Tower Clock will be inscribed with Sun Lakes Country Club – Established 1987. The project will include planter box seating areas and donation brick flooring. Master Board Vice-President Joe Ganino said,"It will be a place to gather for fellowship and a place to remember loved ones no longer with us." In addition, the Tower Clock will be an impressive focal point that will add even more beauty to our Championship Golf Course. Bricks can be purchased at the Main Clubhouse Pro Shop. Prices for the custom etched bricks are: 4" x 8" Brick, $250: 3 lines of text, 20 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation) 4" x 8" Brick, $300 (Includes a section for clip art): 3 lines of text, 12 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation) 8" x 8" Brick, $400: 6 lines of text, 20 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation) 8" x 8" Brick, $1,000 – Commercial Businesses Only (Includes a section for clip art): 4 lines of text, 20 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation) Checks and credit cards will be accepted to purchase the bricks used to fund this project. No money will be used from HOA funds. The project completion date is set for Dec. 1, 2025 just in time for holiday photos with family and friends.
