| SUN CITY CORE COURIER | AUGUST 2025 | 9 Travel Club July was the Sun City Travel Club's Summer Party. We were treated to Nini's BBQ chicken, pulled pork, and more. Dessert was provided by our members and guests. If anyone left hungry it, then was their own fault. Now let's see what trips are coming up: Day trips: • Del Mar Racetrack 8/09: Enjoy live horse racing while sitting at your reserved table in the shade • Sunset Luau 8/14: This is a memorable luau experience, all-you- can-eat buffet, Hawaiian entertainment, and more. • 8/25 - Harrah's Casino, slots, gaming tables, and electronic games • 9/15 - SD Harbor Cruise/Seaport Village, a two-hour narrated cruise, north and south harbors, and lunch/shopping at Seaport Village • 9/24 - Valley View Casino, free T-shirt Wednesday where new players get free play money and more. Upcoming Day Trips: October includes Warner Bros. Studio Tour/ City Walk, Octoberfest in Big Bear, and Fantasy Springs Casino; November includes Medieval Times Dinner/Tournament. Multi-day trips: • Canadian Rockies Adventure 8/17-23 (7 days/6 nights) where you will explore Hells Gate AirTran, Blue River Safari, Columbia Icefields, and more. • Tuscan Culinary-Italy 9/23-10/01 (9 days/8 nights) Olive Oil Farms, Maggiore Boat Cruise, Pasta Cooking Class, Gelato Tasting, and more. • New Mexico Balloon Fiesta 10/3-10/8 (6 days/5 nights) Dawn Mass Ascension, Evening Balloon Glow, Taos, Santa Fe, and more. • New Year's Eve & Rose Bowl Parade 12/30-1/1/26 (3 days/2 nights) where you will see floats being built as well as visit the Huntington Library/Botanical Gardens, Santa Anita Racetrack; trip includes New Year's Eve Dinner/Party, reserve seating at the Rose Parade, and more. Sensorio Light Show, Clydesdale Ranch, Scenic Costal Drive, and more: 5/3-5/6/26 – 4 days/3 nights. We meet the first Wednesday of every month. Our next meeting is Sept. 3 in North Town Hall. Doors open at 12:15 pm, and meetings start at 12:45 pm. Dues are $20 a year to join and includes two free parties. SCCA residents with a current Activities photo ID card may join. Guests are always welcome at our meetings, events, and trips. Everyone gets a free ticket for a drawing. Trip sign-ups are done after the meeting. See you there!
