FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2025 7 I want to start out by once again reiterating how special and wonderful this community is. A great example of a community coming together was the Fourth of July festivities. We had 54 golf carts in the golf cart parade, a record for a Four Seasons patriotic parade! Everyone put so much effort into bedazzling these sparkly vehicles and much of the community came out to watch and cheer as the carts drove by with their hoots, hollers, water balloons, and super soakers (see the photo above!). It certainly ignited the excitement that would be with us the rest of that day. I think we set a record for picnic contributions in the Ballroom, as we had mounds of the most beautiful, delicious offerings brought in by all the neighbors. Lefty Martin and His Right Hand Band kept us dancing and clapping and singing. Thank you, Dave Rohrbacker, for the great recommendation! The After-Glow Party at The Summit was a beautiful way to wind down the evening with the Turtle River Band and PBJ Band. I wish I had had the energy to be up there myself, but the pictures I received were wonderful. This is the kind of community most people only dream of. Thank you for being you! August is a month of theater and entertainment with the live Radio Show in the Ballroom on Saturday, Aug. 9. Check out the Performing Arts Club article for all the details. We then have another awesome Amphitheater Concert on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 7 pm showcasing the music of Tina Turner. Mark Lassen has written a great article explaining all about that on page 45, be sure to check it out. Finally, on Saturday, Aug. 23, we'll be having another Loggia "Summer Sizzle" dance concert and party. We are going to start this a little later with doors opening at 6 pm instead of 5 pm, to see if we can make it a bit more comfortable with the building shadow shading more of the Loggia. The summer evenings are terrific once we're out of direct sunlight and the cool breeze sets in. That means that we'll be going from 6 to 9 pm. I'm working now with the Bistro to provide a yummy buffet option for that event, so stay tuned for what they decide on and expect pre-sale tickets to be announced. I'm going to be decorating with summer f lamingos for that party, so if you have clothing that screams f lamingos, please wear it; I'm going to give a special prize for the person or couple with the best f lamingo outfit. Have a great August and I'll see you around The Lodge! ~ Cindy Graves Activities Director's Report BOARD OF DIRECTORS DAY TIME Executive Session 8/14 9a General Session 8/14 1p Committee Chairs 8/4 10a Meet the Board 8/15 2p COMMITTEES DAY TIME Architectural Review 8/6, 10 8:30a Canine Corral Council 8/7 10a Communications 7/30 10a Community Planning 8/28 9a Conservancy 8/6 8a Facilities 8/7 9a Finance 8/26 1p Landscape 8/19 1p Recognition 8/12 10a Safety (includes EPC) 8/5 10a Social 8/5 1p Meetings
