Rummikub (rummy cube) is one of the most popular games in the world. It is a tile-based game
for two to four players combining elements of the card game rummy and mahjong. Rummikub
was invented in the 50s by Ephraim Hertzano, a Romanian-born Jew. He had made the first sets
with his family in the backyard of his home and sold them door to door. Over the years, the family
licensed it to other countries. In the 1970s, it was brought to the United States. We welcome you
to come and join us on Mondays from 2 to 4 pm in The Lodge Game Room. It's no problem if you
have never played before. We love to teach! If you have any questions, call Sherry Mounts at (323)
810-0632. ~ Sherry Mounts
Duplicate Bridge
I hope that it's the summer and this time of travel that has led to the precipitous decline in attendance at the scheduled Duplicate Bridge
sessions here at Four Seasons. I did not get enough interest to hold games in either June or July. In fact, only two pairs signed up for July. We
clearly cannot hold a Duplicate Bridge session with only one table.
I'll attempt to schedule sessions for both August and September. If, however, there is not enough interest in serious Bridge at Four Seasons,
I'll have to consider if it's worthwhile to play this form of the game in our community. ~ Kirk Freyermuth, kafreyer@frontier.com
