FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2025 9 Elizabeth Westbrook: "God Bless America." Michael Mac Queen: "is is our rst 4th of July celebrating in Four Seasons. My wife and I have always celebrated in Lincoln California with our family. Lincoln is a small town which boasts Americana at its best. A local parade where a lady rides a Texan longhorn bull! Hometown barbecue at the local park, quaint, and beautiful hometown USA." Michael said that he and his wife would be back for many more celebrations at Four Seasons. It was a wonderful day! Michael Erickson: "I served in the US Marine Corp as a Radio Operator. is is always a special day, the birth of America in 1776 and the resolution in 1775 of Tun Tavern, the resolution calling for two battalions of Marines to ght for independence at sea and on shore, ocially forming the Continental Marines." We thank Michael for his service! Olga Rausch: "I feel honored and blessed to have a brother who served in the United States Air Force, I am grateful to him for his service and to all of our military." Mary Gayle: "I am honored to be part of America enjoying our freedom." Candi Bowens: "I remember when my kids were small and the special family gatherings on the 4th of July. My kids and I lived in Los Angeles then. I miss LA as I was born and raised there and worked as a government employee with the Department of Public Health for over 28 years. I miss the good times and 4th of July spirit in LA." Phillip Westbrook: "Did you know that both John Adams and omas Jeerson died on July 4th, 1826, marking the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence?" Phillip went on to say, "my service in the Navy exposed me to other countries and that is why this country is so special to me, the feelings are extremely hard to describe. I recall being on the ship in Yokohama, Japan on the ight deck in the early morning when the colors were presented raising up to the sky over the ocean; it was powerful and gripping and made me feel so proud." Phillip served the US Navy as Machinist Mate 2nd Class (MM2). We thank Phillip for his service; this was a very emotional and heartfelt interview.
