QUILTERS
Quilters love to share our expertise to help others learn new skills.
Recently, Leanne Chase acquired an embroidery machine and
needed some help to figure out all it's features. Two of our members,
Penny Wyckoff and Lorinda Cornell came to her assistance (above
left). With the aid of the user manual and their expertise, they were
able to get it operational. We look forward to seeing wonderful
embroidered pieces from Leanne soon. Meanwhile, three of our
members brought in some of their embroidery handiwork to share.
Pictured above right are Lorinda Cornell, Cathy Blair and Penny
Wyckoff, with their works of art! As quilters, we love to share our
work and our knowledge with each other. If you would like to know
more about our group, please join us on Mondays at noon in the
Arts & Crafts Room.
Hi Solerites! We had such a fun day on July Fourth with so many
participants for the parade. Above (L-R) are Caryl admiring the
entries of two of our K and C group, Rafea in her decked out VW
Bug, and Janet with her patriotic golf cart. Both ladies do beautiful
work knitting and crocheting, but they're pretty crafty at decorating
vehicles too. Our Knit and Crochet group meets Thursdays from 10
am to 12 pm and new members always welcome.
