From the President, Mike Caldwell: Many conversations at the 19th hole are about the round just played, the shots that give us hope. Seldom do we mention the shots that cause suffering. While in church recently, I heard a passage from the book of Romans. e text described the stages that we experience playing golf. "We boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us…" As for me, it is the hope of playing a better round each week. Hopefully, I will have the necessary endurance and the character. From the Vice President, Bob Morriss: In June, we played the Murrieta KHov Golf Team. We also sent an email to the KHov community in Buckeye, AZ, and asked them to join us in our tournaments. Murrieta won 10 to 6 at the Menifee Lakes Palms Course. e Tournament has a traveling trophy. John Tucker shot an unbelievable 157! So, Blair, hold your head high, safe with the knowledge that even you have never shot a 157!
