FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2025 59 Quilting Enthusiasts September is here, and the 20th anniversary of Four Seasons at Beaumont in October, followed by Halloween, the 'fall back' time change, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 2026! I can't believe 2026 is not too far away. Where has this year gone? Our quilting enthusiasts welcomed a new member last month, Mary Mortson. We had a wonderful "Get to Know Your Sewing Machine" class with five amazing women. In this class, we covered thread, needles, the do's and don'ts of cleaning, and how the tension works. Thank you, ladies, and I sincerely hope you enjoyed the class. At the monthly meeting, we discussed how we can best support our community with donation quilts and our own Four Seasons clubs with raff le quilts, such as the Veteran's Day raff le quilts our ladies have made over the past several years for the "Cars & Coffee" car club. If you've recently lost a loved one and have all of their shirts, sweaters, blouses, T-shirts, or baby clothes, and would love to have a "memory" quilt made, please contact me. I will provide the name and phone number of one of our talented members. I recently had a memory quilt made for my daughter and granddaughters after their dad passed away from glioblastoma brain cancer. The quilt is shown below. When you read this article, remember there's a "hands-on class" with your sewing machine on Sept. 11, starting at 9 am. Put in the subject line: Cathedral Windows. Kits will be provided, and remember, this is a free class. See you on Sept. 11 — our regular meeting time is at 1 pm. The hands-on class is at 9 am. ~ Mary M. Moody-Cox, (808) 430- 7469, 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com Craft Group This is the time to get creative with making holiday crafts. We make it easy for you.
