| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2025 | 63 Our July potluck was a lot of fun, especially with Teresa and Bob Solomon-Billings having our Big Card Bingo game. Big winner was Richard Fetterman, although it was a hard-fought game between Richard and Barb Reed. The potluck food was simply scrumptious, very little was left. Our thanks to Bob Palmer for the music and Karaoke opportunities. Pam Drummond was a big hit with her rendition of Little Red Wagon. The evening was closed with Steve Martin and Leon Fikse singing King of the Road. Our next rally is to Jackson Rancheria in Northern California. Those that have gone there say it's one of the best places they've been. The dates are Sept. 28 to Oct. 3. As I'm writing this there are several spots still available to join us. If you don't have an RV, there is the Jackson Rancheria Casino close by. Some will be staying at the KOA campground in Bakersfield, on the 27th, on the way up to break up the drive. Leon and Harriet Fikse are the trail bosses, so if you want to go with the group, contact Leon. During our potluck it was announced that our Spring 2026 Rally, April 16-21, will be to Golden Palms RV Resort in Hemet. During our time there, there is a Vintage Car and Trailer show, a performance by a Beatle Tribute band, and another tribute band for Fleetwood Mac. Also the Ramona Pageant will be running starting the 16th, so the committee is working on setting something up for those interested in attending for the 19th. As you can see, there will be lots of fun things to do, besides the amenities within the resort itself. More information to come. Our annual business meeting is Oct. 12 at the South Clubhouse. Dinner will be provided. We will vote for President and Secretary for the next two years. The Treasurer and Vice President terms are up next year. So far Lupe Cardella has thrown her hat in for President, and Susie Martin for Secretary. Over the past couple of months we have had a number of new members join our fun group. They are Tom and Christine Fredrickson, Ken and Lori Zimmerman, Denise Loxton, Rick Vargas, Terry Muldowney, Kim Cross, Mark Alvarez and Darla Rogers. Welcome to our Sun Lakes CC RV Club. We hope you join us on the next Rally to Jackson Rancheria in September.
