It's September and Jeann Svarvar's Tap Dancers are tapping their way to the Sun Lakes Follies Show presenting "Mardi Gras!" coming Oct. 3, 4, and 5 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. If tap dancing is on your to-do list, we are waiting for YOU. It's fun and keeps you on your toes. It's great exercise for you to be in "tip top shape!" Beginning class will start after the Follies Show in October. Stop in at one of the classes Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am to 12 pm at the North Clubhouse and check us out! We are now in rehearsal mode for the show. Shoes are provided and the monthly fee is $40. Need more info? Call Jeann Svarvar, instructor, at (951) 990-2779 or email svarvar@svarvar.net. Tap Dance 30 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2025 | Country Western Dance Anyone who wants to learn line dancing should put Sept. 29 on their calendar, as that is the day our 2025- 2026 line dance season will begin. The first few sessions will be very basic. During each lesson, we will review the dances we learned in previous sessions, and learn one or two new dances. Our teacher has many years of experience teaching seniors and is happy to modify steps for members with physical issues. Line dance provides a good workout for body and mind. Experienced line dancers and quick learners are welcome to join the club anytime during the year. Beginners should join in September or October. Club dues are $20 per year and there is a fee of $3 per class. However, your first class is free, so you have nothing to lose by attending. Starting on Sept. 29, we will dance in the South Clubhouse every Monday night from 6:30 to 8 pm. For more information on the club, contact Judy Kirstein at (801) 580-2232 or Mary Ann Ivey at (951) 769-1095. Anyone interested in learning Hawaiian Hula dancing is welcome to join the Makua Hula Dancers every Wednesday at the North Clubhouse from 10 am to 12 pm. No previous dance experience is necessary.
