Some names that come to mind are Margaret Whiting, Helen Forrest, Ella Fitzgerald, Ella Mae Morse and even Doris Day. As time passed the female lead singer of pop and rock bands became a sound unto itself. ere has never been near as many female lead singers in bands as compared to male lead singers but the ladies of song denitely hold their own place in the world of pop and rock music. Sun Lakes Country Club has its own Barbershop Chorus that meets every Wednesday morning in the Multipurpose Room from 9 to 11 am. The sheet music and audio-learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys.
