ADVERTISING Contact Image Up at (909) 797-3647 or email imageup1@verizon.net In light of recent reports from residents regarding parkway trees being cut, trimmed, or otherwise damaged by individuals other than the City of Hemet's authorized tree trimmers, we would like to share the following important information regarding parkways and tree maintenance. Ownership & Maintenance According to recent communication with Mr. Rod Fuller of Hemet Code Enforcement, the City of Hemet owns the parkway area in its entirety — including the trees — however, homeowners are responsible for maintaining the parkway and its trees, even though the trees belong to the city. Reporting Violations: Mr. Fuller emphasized the importance of promptly reporting any suspected violations. Reports should include: 1. The property address. 2. A photo (if possible). 3. Any additional identifying details. Reports can be submitted through: 1. The SeeClickFix app (allows pinpointing the location on a map). 2. The City of Hemet website's Public Works page, under "How to Submit a Request" (SeeClickFix link). 3. The Code Compliance Complaint Form (search for "Code Compliance Complaint" on the city's website), which includes an "Other: Explain Below" section for code violation details. Enforcement Process: When a violation is reported, Code Enforcement staff — typically Mr. Fuller and Mr. Mauro Lozoya from Hemet Parks, Trees & Sidewalks — will visit the property to speak directly with the homeowner and issue a verbal warning. 1. If the violation persists, an Administrative Notice will be issued. 2. Continued or repeated violations may result in a monetary fine, which will be added as a tax assessment fee to the homeowner's property tax bill. Final Reminder: Our community's beauty and character depend on proper tree care. The City of Hemet's authorized tree trimmers are trained and knowledgeable in proper techniques. Unauthorized or improper trimming of parkway trees is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. For questions regarding Code Enforcement, Mr. Fuller's direct supervisor is Ms. Sara Kelley. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our neighborhood beautiful. Sincerely, The Board of Directors Solera Diamond Valley Community Association GM Report By Irma Rabago, General Manager Resident Round Table Resident Round Table will be Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 2 pm.
