GOLF CLUB
Results from tournaments:
July 15: The format was a four-man, three-best-ball. Winners were
Mag, Crowe, and McDuffee; McDuffee had a net 60 for the team. CPs
went to McDuffee, Stearn, Craig Martin, and Duncanson.
July 22: A low gross/low net game was held at Yucaipa. Dave Scott
had a great day with an even-par round to win low gross and had the
fewest putts. Ray Smith beat Armand Silva by three strokes to win
low net with 67.
July 29 was an off day for the funeral of Jesse Mendez, attended by
many club members.
Aug. 5: Tukwet Legends hosted a two-man best ball skins
tournament. Tony Smith had a great day with two CPs and three
birdies. Gross skins went to Smith/Anderson, Young/Dockery,
Smaro/Duncanson, and Dietz/Marks. Low net skins were scored by
Fry/Ardis, Sampson/Silva, Salvador/Magdaleno, and Chapman/Bock.
Closest to the pins were Fry, Sampson, and Tony.
WHO WANTS TO PLAY PICKLEBALL?
If you're new to the game or have played before, come join us
for some exercise, fun, and new friends. We play every Monday,
Wednesday, and Saturday at the Solera sports court starting at 7:30
am. If you don't have a paddle, many players will lend you one for the
morning. Be sure to wear proper court shoes. For more information,
