Jesse Mendez, Jr.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jesse Mendez Jr., a beloved father,
devoted husband, loving grandpa, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully at the
age of 79 on July 5, 2025, in Loma Linda, CA. Born on May 7, 1946, in Corpus Christi,
TX, Jesse lived a life that was nothing short of extraordinary.
As a proud U.S. Marine Jesse served his country in Vietnam. After returning from
service, he completed his education with an Associates Degree from Santa Ana College.
Jesse worked as a Quality Assurance specialist for General Service Administration and
for Bianchi International. He made a mark in the fire truck sales industry working for
both KME and Pierce.
Jesse loved entertaining and cooking for everyone. He also loved spending time at
the golf course and going to the casinos with Nancy. Friends and family will fondly
remember his unforgettable karaoke performances, and dance moves.
He leaves behind his loving wife Nancy Mendez; his daughters, Christina Arellano
(Jerry Arellano), and Lisa Mendez; granddaughters Ilianna Quinto, Frankie Rose
Arellano, Annalees Barraza, Olivia Barraza, and Kristen Barraza. He was preceded
in death by his parents, Bertha Barrera Mendez and Jesus G. Mendez; his brothers

missed by all whose lives he touched.
