We could use some rain — just not on our charity tournament day. Our September lunch meeting was catered by e Cove, and as always, we had great food, a fun social gathering and an informative meeting. We also celebrated the special birthdays of Carol Winnard and Paula ompson. Our Charity tournament is coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 7. is year, the Men's Golf Club has been invited to participate and quite a few players had already signed up in early September. We have many great donated prizes for our drawings, in addition to cash prizes. Lunch will be catered by e Cove, with beer, wine, soda and iced tea and desserts. Representatives from our two local charities, Michelle's Place and Hospice of the Valleys, will be joining us for lunch and will talk about their work and how it continues to ll needs. We have also started a four-hole group, where two of our members take out new golfers and play four holes. Some are totally new to golf and others have some golf experience. We hope they will enjoy their group and want to join our club and play in our weekly games. As I have said before, we are a very active, friendly group of ladies and we have lots of fun golng. ere are dierent tournaments each week for both the 18-hole group and the back niners. We hope to see you on the links! e Colony Men's Golf Club plays an 18-hole tournament every Wednesday at California Oaks Golf Club. We play a variety of games, ranging from serious to fun and always with exciting competition. We are a fun-loving group, taking golfers of all skill levels and elevating their game through regular play. Aer the game, we usually hang around on the patio talking about the highlights of the day's game.
