| THE COLONY NEWS | OCTOBER 2025 | 7 5.6.5 Holiday Lighting Rule, Final Adoption: e Board adopted the rule amendment to 5.6.5 Holiday Lighting, which will allow Christmas lights to be turned on the weekend before anksgiving. 15.12.1 Window Film Rule, Final Adoption: e Board adopted the rule amendment to 15.12.1 Window Film, which added clarifying language. 25.1.5 Flag Placement, Final Adoption: e Board adopted the rule amendment to 25.1.5 Flag Placement, which is include a reference to rules and regulations 21.3.7. 15.16.4 Decorative Flags, Final Adoption: e Board adopted the rule amendment to 15.16.4, to clarify language in the LAC Standards and Guidelines. Article 19 – Veneers, Final Adoption: e Board adopted the rule amendment to Article 19 – Veneers, due to the evolution of veneer products. 15.6 Portable Shade Coverage, Tabled: e Board tabled approval of the rule amendments for 15.6 Portable Shade Coverage to allow for more clarication. Emergency Preparedness Committee Resignations: With regret, Board Liaison Gregg Ross announced the resignations of Jackie Price (Chairperson), Judy King (Secretary), and Mary Pat Gates (Coordinator of Triage Team). e Colony is losing three dedicated leaders who have each made a lasting impact. Jackie served for 10 years, Judy for 7 years, and Mary Pat for 7 years. All three did an outstanding job and will be deeply missed. 21.1.1 (c) and 21.1.2 (c) Pilasters & Property Walls Decorative Pots, 28-Day Member Comment: e Board approved the rule amendment to 21.1.1 (c) and 21.1.2 (c) Pilasters & Property Walls Decorative Pots to be published in the Colony News Magazine for 28-Day Member Comment. A nal ruling will be made in the November meeting. Replacement of Studio Computer, PTAC: e Board approved the replacement of the Production and Technology Advisory Committee studio computer at a cost not to exceed $1,500.00. Network Attached Storage (NAS), PTAC: e Board approved Production and Technology Advisory Committee request to purchase Network Attached Storage (NAS) at a cost not to exceed $2,555.00. Outreach to History Project Review, PTAC: e Board approved the Production and Technology Advisory Committee to move forward with the Outreach to History Project, which will include collaborating with the Communications Advisory Committee to produce magazine articles and develop an eBook to be uploaded to e Colony website. Women's Golf Charity Tournament: e Board approved the Women's Golf request to host the annual charity golf luncheon at the Colony on October 7, 2025. Approval of 2025 Audit Mailing: e Board approved the distribution of the 2025 Audit to homeowners, as prepared by Newman CPAs. Annual Appreciation Luncheon for Environmental Concepts Landscape Maintenance: e Board approved the Environmental Concepts Landscape Maintenance Appreciation Luncheon, which will be hosted by the LAC, at a cost of $727.66. Auditorium Carpet Cleaning Proposals: e Board approved Bishop Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning for the Clubhouse Annual Carpet Cleaning, at a total cost of $6,072.00 ($1,518.00 quarterly). Registrar of Voters – Special Statewide Election, Pulled from Agenda: e agenda item Registrar of Voters – Special Statewide Election was removed from the agenda because the Auditorium was not available on the requested dates.
