We're getting more fabric donations and having so much fun sharing with each other. Thanks to Carl and Michael Steenson for the lovely fabric that Judi, your wife and mother, really enjoyed. We will greatly miss Judi and her amazing talents. Show and share is a great time to see the talent that this group has. We meet on the first, third, and fifth Mondays from 1 to 5 pm. For more info, call Jan Hamm at (951) 212-6799 or Vivian Myrdahl at (626) 221-0872. Our fun group meets on Mondays from 1 to 3 pm in the Multipurpose Room. On the second Monday only, we meet from 11 am to 1 pm. We will meet on Oct. 6, 13, 20, and 27. Don't forget to check which Monday it is so you don't arrive at 1 pm on Oct. 13, when the group is just leaving! We participated in Activities Day in September and explained what we do to the many people who stopped to ask about our group. Frequently, we hear the same comments being made about how they have no creative skills or they just don't craft. It IS possible to learn something new, even as seniors! We love when someone in our group comes up with an idea for a project and many of us don't have a clue as to how to make it, but we learn! That's what's so fun, learning a new skill or method of achieving a result in a different way. At the very least, you will have many laughs and lots of fun. We love welcoming new members to our group. There is no fee to join, just show up and start making new friends. You may learn some new skills or finally get those projects completed that you've set aside for too long. Everything is more fun when you are working alongside others. We also have an annual holiday dinner party in December, which is absolutely not to be missed. All the creativity comes out as the volunteer party coordinators plan the entire evening. From the theme of the party, to games, prizes and party favors, the surprise dessert is also provided by the planners. This year, our dinner party will be held on Dec. 3 at 5 pm in the Main Clubhouse Restaurant. October's birthday luncheon will be on Thurs., Oct. 9 in the Main Clubhouse Restaurant at 11:30 am.
