Our recent event, BOCCE 101, was a huge success!
Five new teams will be joining the Fall session. The
Club would like to welcome the 25 plus new members to
the party. Thanks to all who helped set up and participate in
the learning sessions. We hope to make this an annual event.
Our summer session ended on Aug. 12. Winners of
the A-League are Chuck and Tina Creager and Don and
Carol Monette. The B-League winners are Diane Stigall,
Linda Pope, Mari Hanson and Kent Chambless. Congratulations
to them and to all the participants in the summer session. The fall
tournament began on Sept 8 and will run until Nov. 18. Stop by the
courts and enjoy the action. Games are played on Monday, Tuesday,
and Wednesday starting at 5 pm.
Our General Membership meeting and Italian
dinner will be held on Oct. 18 at the Main Clubhouse.
Doors open at 3:30 pm. There will be a short meeting
prior to dinner. Dinner will consist of lasagna (choice
of vegetarian or meat), salad, garlic bread, steamed
vegetables and a cookie for dessert. Each member will
also receive two tickets for beer or wine. Cost is only $20
for members and $25 for guests. Sign up by October
10th. Checks can be dropped off at 1288 Pleasant Valley
Ave. Be sure to mark your selection of meat or vegetable lasagna.
