Chess Club
The Sun Lakes Chess Club meets Fridays from 1 to 4 pm in the
Main or North Clubhouse.
We have enjoyed steady growth with players of all experience levels
and have recently become an affiliate of the US Chess Federation.
As an affiliate, members enjoy a wide range of benefits, including
discounts to membership fees and official ratings. Individual
memberships are optional and the fees are very reasonable.
Come join us one Friday for friendly competition, camaraderie,
and a some laughs.

Tic Tac Toe
Our newly-formed Tic Tac Toe Group has grown to over 100 members! We enjoy getting
together for this challenging, thought-provoking past time. It's a battle of wits that takes
place every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
Bring a sack lunch because we don't break for food! There are two five minute bathroom
breaks — one at 11:32 am and the second at 2:04 pm — so plan accordingly. We also
utilize a timer limiting players to no more than 15 minutes to study the board. If you are
new to the game or haven't played in awhile we encourage you to study some YouTube
videos on the strategy and history of the game. There's a good one produced by National
Geographic that is in five parts (10 hours total and worth every minute). Membership
dues are $20/month to pay for the custom wooden playing box and gold leaf Xs and Os.
