| LIFE IN SOLERA | OCTOBER 2025 | 9
It's nice to know people in high places. While coming back from a
medical call in Solera at 4 am, the re captain of Cal-Fire Engine
17 (covering for Engine 106), took this picture of his mom's
house in Solera. Captain Laraivere's mommy is our own Debbie
Monroe. Debbie was asleep at the time. She told her son next
time he's in the neighborhood to stop by for a fresh pot of coee
and her delicious Aebleskivers.

I wanted to help the Monarch
Buttery populations so I purchased a
Milkweed plant.
I can't tell you how fun and
fascinating an experience this has
been. One of the caterpillars made
it from the raised ower bed all the
way over to the side of my patio where
I have a chive plant in a large pot.
e caterpillar attached himself and
overnight became a chrysalis! It only
took 11 days for a beautiful Monarch
buttery to emerge.
