What better way to bid farewell to the dog days of summer than
with bowls of delicious ice cream? Our September Chill and Chat
event was a sweet success, featuring three f lavors of ice cream and toppings galore —
sprinkles, cherries, whipped cream, and more! Our dedicated servers definitely got an
arm workout scooping up frozen delights for everyone.
To keep the "chill" theme going, members enjoyed a fun ice cream trivia game, hosted
by member Patty Meinhardt. With such a surprisingly ice cream-literate group, very few
questions were missed. Top scorers picked out small gifts from the Bon Appétit Treasure
Chest — a cool reward for their trivia talents.
The fun didn't stop there — several raff le baskets and a stunning football-themed
wreath went home with lucky winners. These raff le items, generously donated by members
or purchased by the Bon Appétit Board, help raise funds for our annual scholarship
supporting a Beaumont High School Culinary Arts student.
Coming Up Next: A demonstration by Lot 22 Olive Oils & Vinegars on Fri., Oct. 3 from
1 to 3 pm in the Oakmont Clubhouse. RSVPs are required (typically one week in advance).
It's a great time to join — membership dues are reduced.
