60 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2025 In September we had our Four Seasons ping pong tournament. The tournament included both doubles and singles play. Due to the Breeze deadline, the tournament results will be announced in the November Breeze magazine. A pizza party was given to celebrate all players who participated in the tournament. Pizza party and ping pong are perfect together. Don't you agree? FUN FACT: Ping pong started in Victoria, England, as an after dinner parlor fun. They would clear the table, put out books for the net, use the back of the cigar box for a paddle, and a champagne cork for the ball. Get out of the wind and join us Monday through Friday from 2 to 4 pm in The Courts. We will welcome you with a friendly smile. You don't need to bring a book or cigar box. We have an extra paddle just for you. ~ Mary Baer, baerhuggy@icloud.com Table Tennis Once again, paddle tennis folks participated in our Four Seasons Senior Olympics. Wow, you would never guess that these players were seniors. The ladies doubles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles were super competitive! Winners to be announced at the medal presentations. We had plenty of refreshments for the players. I want to send a special shout out to the players who stepped in as substitutes: Phyllis, Bernadette L., and David Martin. A special thank you to our committee members who helped make this tournament a huge success. Thank you to all those who helped me out with set up and take downs. Also, to the staff who helped me out by making sure we had table and chairs that were requested, thank you. All in all, everyone had a great time. Come check out paddle tennis. ~ Lizzie Gallegos, ecgallegos@outlook.com Paddle Tennis Bocce Ball is played at The Summit twice a week. Scheduled times are Tuesday and Friday at 8 am. Interest is steadily increasing as new players try this game. Thanks to everyone for your continued support of our group. Bocce Ball requires no special skills and everyone is welcome.
