FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2025 7 Oh my goodness, this is parade month! The biggest, most spectacular event of October is the Four Seasons 20th Anniversary Parade and Celebration Reception on Oct. 4. The parade will leave from The Lodge at 11:30 am and travel the long route around Four Seasons Circle for all the parade watchers. It will then return to The Lodge for live music by the Hot Jazz Band, food from the In- N-Out truck, and a cake reception in the Ballroom. The Bistro will also serve their full menu for those wanting something other than burgers. Please note that a presale ticket is required to receive a burger meal. It's going to be a great celebration, so we hope most of the Four Seasons family will join us! Keep an eye on the Daily Report and the Activities Blast for the latest updates. On Oct. 8, the Jewish Culture Club will host a community event for the holiday of Sukkot. They will set up a Sukkah — a three- sided structure — by The Lodge Barbecue area. Refreshments will be provided as you learn about this meaningful holiday. The club will also show the film October 8th twice: once from 12 to 2 pm, then with refreshments in the Sukkah from 2 to 3 pm, and again in The Lodge Theater from 3 to 5 pm. Tickets are $1 for your preferred showing, which includes refreshments. Contact Sandi Barletta for more details. The Oct. 11 HOA Garage Sale is back! It runs from 8 am to 2 pm. If you want to participate, be sure to submit your Garage Sale application by Friday, Oct. 3, so we can get permits from the city and include your address on the maps. The participation fee remains $7. Jazz Under the Stars will also be held on Oct. 11 from 7 to 9 pm. This popular concert takes place on The Lodge Loggia and is a joint effort between the HOA and the African American Culture Club. Check out more details in this Breeze magazine in the African American Culture Club article. A free ticket is required for entry. To show that we truly are "an active adult community," we will honor our "Oldlympian" winners and teams during the Four Seasons Senior Olympics Award Ceremony. We encourage the community to come out and cheer on their athletic neighbors. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, from 1 to 3 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Refreshments will be served. It's shopping time again at Four Seasons! Hooray for the most unique, handcrafted gifts around! There will be something for everyone: homemade baked goods, candy, woodwork, jewelry, specialty cards, jams, quilts, home decor, and countless other items! The Craft Boutique will be in The Lodge Ballroom from 9 am to 2 pm on Oct. 25. Start your holiday shopping early — Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's are all covered. In celebration of holidays, thanks to many resident suggestions, we'll have the Halloween Golf Cart Parade on Thursday, Oct. 30 — the day before Halloween. Line-up begins at 5:30 pm in front of The Lodge. The golf cart contest and judging start at 5:45 pm, with the parade leaving at 6 pm. Feel free to make it a tailgate party! It's a lot of fun! Do you enjoy dressing your dogs in adorable costumes? Then you'll love this event — the Canine Corral's Halloween Pet Parade in front of The Lodge Administration building on Oct. 31 at 10 am. The parade features dogs in three categories: large, medium, and small. Everyone is welcome to attend and take photos. For more info, contact Barbara Morton or see the Canine Corral article in this Breeze issue. Next up is the scariest party of the year — "the Fear Seasons Halloween Party and Dance." We'll decorate everything for your little costumed selves. American Made will be playing all your favorite dance tunes, and there will be a costume contest with door prizes. A Mexican buffet will be available at the Bistro, with pre- sale tickets offered. We hope to hold the event outside, but if the weather is bad, it will be in the Ballroom. Everyone is welcome; admission is free. Lastly, in the Halloween spirit, the Talent Workshop and Showcase Group will present "A Fright to Remember" Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6 pm in the Haunted Ballroom. No tickets are needed — just come if you dare… ~ Cindy Graves Activities Director's Report
